Welcome to Theatre Venture's website. 

Based in Stratford, Newham, Theatre Venture engages the communities of East London and beyond in

theatre, media and arts projects.

Since 1981 we have delivered projects for local residents both at our homehome at Stratford Circus

and in a variety of locations that takes our work to the very heart of our community. 

These projects range from regular weekly classes and workshops, to summer schools, festivals,

events and performances; providing access and opportunity; encouraging and sustaining new participants

and audiences for theatre and the arts.

In creating professional touring theatre for schools for over 25 years, we have established a reputation

and expertise as a leading company in this field; recognized by continuing support from such as

the London Borough of Newham, the Arts Council of England and various trusts and foundations

Two exciting theatre projects in June.

CELLS

Over one week in June, artists and actors from and Theatre Venture and Tangled Feet developed a new site-specific,

research and development project – The Cells.

We explored the intriguing spaces of Stratford Old Town Hall cellars and courtyard, creating a curious story of

justice and bureaucracy for our audience.
